QUABBIN EXTENDED DAY PROGRAM’S MISSION STATEMENT
The Quabbin Extended Day Programs are high quality after school programs that strive to offer all students a safe environment that is supportive, compassionate and fun. The Quabbin Extended Day Program’s goal is to offer a curriculum that allows students opportunities to pursue personal interests within a structured environment that stresses recreation, education, participation and socialization. Program curriculum focuses on extending the school day learning by providing adventurous and exciting opportunities that include STEM enrichment opportunities, character building with individual and teamwork challenges as well as free choice fun.
We believe each child in our care comes to us with their own unique personality, learning ability, maturity level and talents. Therefore, we treat every child as an individual member of our program, focusing on promoting positive character traits and working with those students who need a little extra encouragement to stay on the right track. Focusing on the 6 Pillars of Character is the key to maintaining this philosophy; Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship are all used as the focus for providing individualized success plans, within the mission statement of the program, for each student enrolled. The success of this philosophy comes from a unified goal between staff, students and parents.
The Quabbin Extended Day Programs currently operate at Hardwick Elementaray School, Hubbardston Center School, Oakham Center School, and Ruggles Lane School. For more information on the program please contact: Kari Sacramone, Director – firstname.lastname@example.org or (978) 928-4487 x312
