Kindergarten registration is now open for all children who reside in the Quabbin towns of Barre, Hardwick, Hubbardston, New Braintree and Oakham who will be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2023. Registration forms may be downloaded HERE, completed, and returned to your child’s “home” school in the town in which you reside or mailed to Kindergarten Registration, QRSD Educational Support Center, 872 South Street, Barre, MA 01005. Paper copies may also be picked up at your home school or the Educational Support Center. All registration forms, including birth certificate and proof of residency must be returned by Friday, May 5, 2023.
If your child is currently enrolled in the QRSD preschool program, you have met all the requirements for registration. A verification of information form was mailed to you on Monday, March 13th in order to verify and update your child’s information. Please confirm or change the information on the form, sign, and return by Friday, May 5, 2023.
A virtual kindergarten screening information night will be held on Wednesday, May 17th from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The link to this virtual session will be sent to all families in May. This session will be hosted by the Early Childhood Coordinator Shelly St. George and Colleen Mucha, District Director of Teaching, Learning & Support.
Kindergarten screening will take place during the last week of May and the first week of June. Specific dates and times will be communicated with parents and guardians once we have received your child’s completed registration forms.
Student names for those on our incoming kindergarten list were gathered from our preschool records and from the five district towns local census information. If you do not attend preschool in the QRSD or have not answered your town census, please contact Jessica Bennett at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at (978)355-4668, ext. 8500 with your child’s information.

The Quabbin Regional fundraising subcommittee is seeking donations to help fund a press box and bleacher project on Alumni Field. This press box will provide great shelter and a vantage point to observe the entire game so that media and necessary officials have an optimal, and safe, view of the action. A comprehensive presentation on the press box and bleachers may be viewed HERE.
Any donation greater than $500 will have their name permanently displayed on the back of the press box (facing the parking lot).

As of October 2023, if you were born in the year 1994, your special education records will be shredded. If you wish to keep your records, please contact the Student Services Department at 978-355-2055 to make arrangements to pick them up.
All special education records for students born prior to 1994, your records have already been shredded.

The Quabbin Regional Music Department’s Artist-in-Residence private instrument/voice lesson program is now open for registration! Registration begins today and runs through December 23rd. Lessons begin the first week of January.
With many successful students and excellent instructors in the program, we have been able to provide Quabbin students with high quality private study of the voice and many wind, string and percussion instruments for many years.

The Quabbin Regional School District offers integrated preschool programs at each of our elementary schools: Hardwick, Hubbardston, New Braintree (for Oakham/New Braintree students) and Ruggles Lane!
Our preschool offers an integrated preschool opportunity where students of all abilities are able to learn and grow together. Our preschool program is a TUITION FREE, space limited program offered to students who reside in the five district towns of Barre, Hardwick, Hubbardston, New Braintree, and Oakham.

The 2022-2023 School Calendar was approved by the Quabbin Regional School District School Committee on Thursday, March 10, 2022.
A slight change was made at the April 28th School Committee meeting with a change in early release dates in November, 2022 and March, 2023.
