What does school closure mean?

Access to school buildings is limited to essential school district personnel.

All district employees are working on-site or remotely, as appropriate to their position.

Students will be provided with optional activities to keep the spirit of learning alive. Any resources shared by the district, schools, or teachers are merely suggestions for engaging students in enrichment opportunities.  No evidence of participation in these activities will be required of students.

QRSD will follow the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education guidance issued March 2020 (link) with regard to special education services. All students are encouraged to engage in the differentiated optional activities that our district will be providing.  Special education teachers, counselors and other team members will remain in touch with students and families to provide support and guidance as needed. Once school reopens, the QRSD will resume providing special education and related services to children in accordance with their IEPs.
